Contract number: 66-2331-B
Start date: 2021.05.03
End date: 2023.05.27
Location: Gilan Province, Rasht City
Project Specifications and Overall Objective:
The mentioned stone protective wall is located on the eastern side of the Zarjoub River, with a length of 130 meters and a height of 8 meters. Its purpose is to construct a passageway behind the wall, preserve and stabilize the nearby soil layers along the project’s implementation route, and protect existing residential homes along the riverbank that were at risk of destruction and soil erosion due to multiple floods. To achieve this, a general foundation was constructed along 130 meters at a depth of 1.5 meters below the river’s water level, with dimensions of 1x4x130 meters, and a cut-off wall was built to prevent overturning of the foundation due to river water currents and temporary diversion of the river’s watercourse (diversion). After completing the foundation, considering the design specifications, columns with a height of 2.6 meters were formed and concreted, and on top of them, a comprehensive shoring with dimensions of 40×40 was constructed to make the structure act as an integrated frame. This approach continued until the end of the wall’s construction, with the creation of a reinforced concrete cornice on the last row of the stone-laid wall layers. The significant volumes of completed operations include the following:
– Stone masonry volume with rubble and maloun stone: 4,000 cubic meters.
– Concrete pouring volume: 1,500 cubic meters of concrete.
– Rebar used in the project: 150,000 kilograms.
– Soil operations volume, including excavation and backfilling: 75,000 cubic meters.
